Did you know Nestle used to make hair care products? They did, and they came in beautiful packaging which would look fantastic on a vintage-themed shelf. The seller of this one warns, “I can not guarantee the rinse is useable, safe or effective 70 years after it was manufactured.”

According to the seller, this colorful vintage hair conditioner “comes from a nice collection of 1950's cosmetic products and perfumes.” It’s in really good condition and still sprays, and it costs a very reasonable $40. Be careful with it and maybe don’t actually spray it on yourself.
Jergens Makeup Cake
The seller of this one declares it was found among his grandmother’s belongings, but she never wore makeup so it’s never been opened. This variety of makeup cake is called “Southern Rose” and it has beautiful artwork on the packaging. It’s a steal at $20.

This shampoo is from the 1940s, and promised to remove unsightly dandruff quickly. Whether it did or not, we don’t know anymore, but don’t try using this stuff to find out! It’s way past its sell-by date, but it would make a nice addition to anyone’s vintage collection.

The Ogilvie Sisters company doesn’t exist anymore, but their products live on, such as this Magic Makeup Color for the Hair. It’s never been used, it looks great in its packaging, and it’s a pretty good bargain at $42.46.

In the 1930s women were starting to gain more independence and this rouge tin reflects that. It showcases the image of a lady golfer, something many women would have aspired to be back in those days. It’s a fascinating piece of history.
