Common Costco Complaints
Costco is known for great deals and bulk buys - but not every product is considered good. While plenty of Kirkland items have a loyal following, some have sparked serious complaints from customers online. Here are the top six most complained about items at the beloved bulk store.
Kirkland Signature Milk
You’d think it doesn’t really matter what milk is stored in. But Costco’s square plastic jugs get a ton of complaints - not about the milk itself, but the square container. Folks say the shape makes it easy to spill when you pour. People are so frustrated, Costco’s reportedly looking into changing it.
Kirkland Signature Chicken Bakes
Here’s another Kirkland product that’s not very popular. People have said that the Kirkland Signature Chicken Bakes taste “gloopy” and soggy. To be fair, though, you could say the same thing about a lot of microwavable frozen foods. No word from Costco about this one.
Chomps Beef Sticks
Some Costco shoppers say they’ve found a stick or two in their Chomps pack looking a little… green. Yep, possibly moldy. Luckily, they’re individually wrapped, so one bad stick won’t ruin the whole batch. But you can definitely see why that would put people off and make them complain.
Fresh Produce
Some Costco shoppers on Reddit say fresh produce isn’t always the best deal. Items like strawberries, cucumbers, and avocados get complaints because they tend to spoil fast - sometimes before you even finish the pack. Unfortunately, there may not be a whole lot Costco can do about this.
Kirkland Signature Dishwasher Detergent
Yep, yet another Kirkland one. Not everyone’s a fan. Some Costco shoppers say it doesn’t fully dissolve, leaving a cloudy film on dishes that makes them look dirty. Others have complained about skin irritation or even feeling unwell after using it. Clearly there’s an issue there.
Kirkland Hard-Boiled Eggs
Kirkland is really coming in for a kicking here. Their hard-boiled eggs haven’t exactly won people over. According to Eat This, Not That, hundreds of Reddit users have slammed them for tasting weird, with some even saying they remind them of plastic. “Pretty gross” is the phrase that keeps coming up.
