Never Mess With A Kitchen That Mom Just Cleaned
Parents spend a lot of time cleaning. Bedrooms need to be tidied, laundry needs to be washed, and kitchens need to be scrubbed. All moms know there is nothing worse than slaving away in the kitchen, cleaning it after a big meal, and then finding it all messy again because the kids wanted a snack. So this mom's kids needed to know exactly what would happen if they touched her pristine kitchen.
There is nothing passive-aggressive about this note. All kids beware of mom and her newly cleaned kitchen, otherwise, they are in for a nasty surprise - she will "cut you."
Good Intentions, Bad Execution
Some kids - especially teens - don't like to listen to their parents. They automatically assume they know better and that their parents are basically dinosaurs who can't remember what it's like to be young. Contrary to their teens' beliefs, parents do remember what it was like to be young, and this mom has no problem reminding her son of that. There won't be any teen moms happening on this mom's watch.
There is just one little problem, though. Unfortunately, that tack straight through the foil-wrapped package was not strategically placed, and a baby might just be on the horizon for this couple.
Parents Get Hungry, Too
Lunchtime at school is sacred. Some schools have cafeterias that offer delicious meals, while others just offer a lunchroom for students to unpack their homemade lunches. Many parents spend time making sure that the lunch they pack for their kids is nutritionally balanced, while others just throw together whatever leftovers are in the fridge. One parent was putting lunch together when they decided they just wanted a quick bite.
The kid who opened their lunch and saw this must have been pretty shocked. That's not a tiny nibble but a giant adult-sized bite mark. But we bet all turned out fine since the parent kindly sent a note that said, "Hope you don't mind."
Do Not Wake Mom Up From Her Self-Induced Coma
Being a parent means needing to put yourself second and your children first. But sometimes, even mom and dad need some time to themselves, especially when they are sick. After spending an entire day coughing, this mom knew it was time to take some cough syrup and settle in for a good long sleep. Sometimes the best medicine is simply just giving in to your body and listening to what it wants.
Mom didn't want her kids to be concerned about her unconscious body, though, and left this quick note to let them know that she would rise in about 10 hours and was not, in fact, dead.
Curfews Are Not Something To Be Broken In This Household
As teens grow up, they start to rebel more and more. At first, it is just little things, like trying a sip of a beer at a party, but sometimes it can lead to certain nighttime activities that involve breaking curfew. Many parents think that a curfew will help keep their kids safe because they know where they will be after 11 PM or midnight. And in this house, you do not break curfew.
And if you do, then you must deal with the consequences and sleep on the patio. At least the parents were kind enough to leave a blanket outside this time.
Not Everyday Can Be A Great Day For Young Julian
Being negative all the time doesn't help anyone, which is why this mom decided to leave a nice positive note for her son Julian. Everyone should have a great day! Julian was not having it, though. He clearly woke up on the wrong side of the bed and decided to let a black cloud hang over him for the entire day. Maybe there is more going on behind the scenes.
Whatever is happening in Julian's personal life to make him have a bad day, we really hope he gets it sorted out and finds a bit of positivity. Maybe next time he'll write back to mom, "I will" instead of "I will not."
A Quick Colonoscopy Update From Mom
Medical emergencies happen all the time, and when dad needs to go to the hospital, he needs to go quickly. Mom is always the logical choice in terms of who will drive him, which is why this very clear note was left. It describes precisely what dad is about to have done to him in very easy-to-understand terms. We do have to wonder how he arrived at this point, though.

Playing pranks on your loved ones is one of the best ways to bring a smile to their faces or strike fear in their hearts, depending on the route you go. One mom always wrote cute little notes for her child's lunch and included them in the lunch box. Eventually, it got kind of boring to constantly have the same generic note, which led to this brilliant idea regarding placement.
Who said notes need to be right out there in the open? The answer is no one, which is why this mom thought it clever to stick the note inside the sandwich.

Toothpaste tends to always come in tubes, but a lot of other products come in tubes as well. If you aren't careful, you might just end up squeezing a tube of acne cream or diaper cream onto a toothbrush. Someone made a pretty grave error when they squeezed out some of this Vagisil tube onto their toothbrush, and instead of being greeted by a minty fresh flavor, they got something much more unpleasant.
We really hope this was a kid and not a parent. Parents should know better by this point! But at the same time, if it was a kid, we would feel so bad!
The Four Worst Words a Teen Could Hear
Peer pressure is a very real thing. Every day kids are asked if they want to skip school to hit the skatepark, go to a party and have a few beers, or even take up smoking a certain substance. Parents are always nervous their kids will get up to no good, and for a good reason - they often do! Somehow this mom found out her kid had taken up smoking and decided to let them know.
Nothing screams "you're in big trouble" than the four words, "we need to talk," written inside some smoking supplies. That must have been a fun family meeting, said no one ever.

We have all sat down on the toilet at some point, done our business, and then reached to grab some toilet paper only to realize that there is none. For some people, this is a pretty horrifying moment. You have to look around the bathroom, scrabble to find a roll, and look for wiping alternatives if there isn't one available. This is definitely not a situation you want to be in at a stranger's house.
One parent had enough and refused to change the empty toilet paper holder. If their kid wanted to use toilet paper, then they would have to refill the toilet paper holder monster themselves.
Don't Come A Knockin' If The Door Be A Rockin'
Kids don't like to think about it, but there is really only one way that most kids end up in the world and it definitely happens behind closed doors. Maybe these parents have decided it is time to bring another kiddo into the world, or maybe they really just want to get down and dirty with one another. We have all had to do chores growing up, and we did not want to do them a lot of the time. Making a bed first thing in the morning or putting away clean laundry just seems like a total drag. We're not sure if this book is on a high school reading list or not, but this parent decided to let their kid know exactly what the plot was about. If you've ever watched "Game of Thrones" or read the books, then you know this is a fairly accurate summary. "Lots of people die. Some people don't die" sounds about right. If anything, though, this note will probably just pique their teen's interest even more.
What teen doesn't want to read about glorious fantasy battles with dragons? Now the teen has to know what characters perish in pursuit of conquering Westeros. For those in the know, this is one wild ride.

Just because moms tend to be the ones to enforce house rules doesn't mean that they can't have good senses of humor. Putting dirty clothes in a hamper can be hard, right? Not really, if you think about it. All you need to do is pick up your dirty clothes and stick them in the hamper for the laundry fairy to do.

There are a couple of phrases that kids love to say over and over again. One is, "Are we there yet?" and another is, "There is nothing to eat in the fridge!." A lot of parents get tired of hearing these over and over again, and one parent decided to address it head-on with this note. There is definitely food to eat if you look hard enough and if not, there is also the family cat.
We would suggest not touching the cat and just checking out whatever meals mom left behind in the downstairs fridge. Seriously, option number 1 sounds pretty traumatic, mom and dad.

Pigeons are the vermin of the sky. They are always hanging around looking for things to snack on, and if a window is left open, more often than not, they will find their way inside whatever room is on the other side. Instead of trying to remove the pigeon, dad decided to let it be a fun surprise for all of his family when they woke up. After all, if he had to face that, then they all do.
Mom Knows Best When It Comes To Junk Food
Growing up comes with a lot of growing pains. Kids need to learn how to navigate social relationships, standards of beauty, social media, and everything in between. For a lot of teens, weight gain is a part of puberty and it can be really hard to learn how to eat right. Mom decided to weigh in on some of the less healthy food choices her teen was making, by simply eating them herself.
This teen must have been a tad upset, but learning to eat healthily and eliminating processed foods never hurt anyone. Now, mom just needs to stick to it with her kid.
Lint Traps Do Actually Exist For A Specific Reason
For most parents, simply getting their kids to do the laundry is a win. Having their kids actually understand why certain processes are in place for using a washing machine, and a dryer is a whole other thing. Most adults know that the lint trap in a dryer has to be emptied. If it's not, what is listed on this note can happen very easily. Nobody wants their trying to turn into a ball of flame!

In this day and age, moving out of your parent's home takes some serious cash. Apartments are definitely not as cheap as they were four decades ago, and that is why a lot of adults still live at home. Christopher seems to still be living at home, and his dad always makes sure that he has some dinner ready for him which is very sweet. However, even dads need to go out and have some fun.
We really don't blame him. And luckily, dear Mister Meatloaf here has some cash and doesn't mind splitting a piping hot pizza and beer with his older brother, does he?
If It Is Not An Emergency Do Not Come Knocking
A lot of kids are used to their parents waking up before them and putting breakfast on the table. Looking after kids is a big responsibility, but when they get old enough mom and dad can be a bit more hands-off, like these parents. Mom and dad need to sleep in after working all week, and there is no way they are going to let their kids bother them before 10:00 AM.
Liam and Alexi better have respected this. Otherwise, they might be in for a time out! We hope mom and dad got some rest and relaxation. Clearly, they desperately needed it.
Getting Ungrounded Just Got A Whole Lot More Complicated
Even the best of kids make mistakes, and getting grounded is a pretty standard punishment. Ultimately, parents just want their kids to be safe, and a grounding usually results when a kid has done something unsafe. We're not sure what Cassidy did, but it must have been pretty bad to need to accumulate 500 points in order to be ungrounded. This is a pretty ingenious idea on the parents' part, though.
Being able to measure how much longer you have in your grounding makes it a lot easier to make it end more quickly and get back to having fun. We wish our parents gave us this.
Always Delete That Browser History To Avoid A Weird Conversation
Teenage boys will be teenage boys and one of the things most of them love to do is lurk around the internet and search for weird things. One thing most people learn to do is clear their search history. You never know when someone is going to look at it and see all of the strange things you have Googled, like "How tall is Santa Claus?" This teen had yet to learn that lesson, which gave dad the chance to share some words of wisdom.
Parents sometimes grab whatever laptop or tablet is at hand for a quick search, and obviously, this dad wanted to do a bit of sleuthing to see why his son was spending hours online.
Apparently Not All Sockets Are Meant To Be Shared
Dads can be pretty particular when it comes to how their houses are arranged. For example, the sockets in this room are only for three very specific pieces of technology. If any of these items are unplugged some serious things will happen, like the fish potentially crossing over the rainbow bridge. If we had to guess, it would appear that there might have been some socket surprises in the past.
The lesson from this note is that no matter what you do, you never unplug any of these or dad is going to come for you in your sleep! Yes, really.
Mother's Little Helper Is A Delicious Bottle Of This Fiery Liquid
Everyone needs a helping hand once in a while, and it doesn't say anywhere that needs to be a literal hand. In fact, sometimes, the little helper moms need is a good old-fashioned bottle of Fireball whiskey. Nobody is perfect, and that certainly goes for children. There are days where being a parent is harder than others, and it is definitely the days where a kid is being a 'turd.' When kids start to throw tantrums or have sit down strikes, a parent just knows that it is going to be a long day and getting the kid to school is going to be a huge struggle.
Anna must have done something really bad if her dad decided to call her out like this to her teacher. Her teacher might have even agreed with his assessment of Anna that day.
If A Fish Could Talk It Would Have A Lot To Say
Being a housepet means being at the mercy of your owners. For cats, dogs, and even fish, feeding time is entirely dependent on when the owner remembers to pour out some kibble of fish flakes. Kids always want pets, but the job of actually caring for them often falls to mom and dad, who remember that they need to be bathed, fed, and kept safe. Little Tiffany wants the world to know that she can do a good job, too.
It's great that this beta fish was fed, but the lack of air from having books placed on top of the fishbowl might also lead to a trip into the toilet bowl.

There are certain movies that come out and have real staying power. The film "Taken" with Liam Neeson is one of them. He has a very specific set of skills that he can use to do just about anything, and this Mom has decided to take a page out of his playbook. The house will be cleaned one way or another, and if it isn't, everyone will be disconnected from the Wi-fi.
This is a note that kids might want to follow because if they don't, they might just need to resort to reading actual books. Could you imagine that? Us, either.
Do Not Try And Put Gasoline In This Vehicle
New drivers tend to be less aware of a vehicle's needs than more experienced drivers. It takes years of experience for someone to learn the ins and outs of a vehicle, but there is one thing all drivers must remember, and that is the type of fuel that should go into the tank. Some trucks take premium gas, while others take diesel. The two cannot be mixed under any circumstances.
Judging by this note, we have to think that Sarah might have made a fueling error in the past, and dad will not let that happen again. Love you, Diesel.
City Life Is Too Easy, It Is Time To Go Wild
Anyone that has grown up in an urban center knows that it is very different compared to rural places. Instead of learning to live off of the land, food is always nicely packaged and ready to be eaten. Finish The Container Or Do Not Touch It At All
